We begin by inspecting:
- the Check Engine light status and history for misfire codes
- the condition of the ignition coil packs, or
- distributor cap and rotor breaker points (if applicable)
- the wiring integrity
- spark plugs gap space , burned tips and integrity
When needed, we replace damaged or worn out:
- spark plugs
- wires
- other ignition parts
- oxygen sensors if required
We also replace
- the engine and cabin filters
- oil filter
- fuel filter (if applicable)
- and your PCV valve (if applicable)
Additionally, we continue our inspection of:
- all of the vacuum lines
- the condition of serpentine drive belt(s)
- applicable belt tensioner
- as well as perform an inspection of the timing belt, if possible
Finally, included with a tune up, we check your vehicle’s fluids:
- engine oil
- coolant
- automatic transmission fluid (ATF)
- power steering fluid (if applicable)
- as well as perform a brake fluid moisture content test
As an add-on, with newer direct fuel-injected vehicles, we recommend a fuel system cleaning service. This service cleans the fuel system, and removes deposits. Our additives clean the fuel lines, the injectors, injector tips, and fuel pintiles and remove carbon buildup from the back of the valves. This cleaning helps to keep away the pesky check engine light and keep your vehicle idling and running smoothly, and increases fuel efficiency.
